Our Mission

OUR MISSION

Bringing People to Wholeness and Fruitfulness

Jesus came to restore us to a life of ‘wholeness’ and ‘fruitfulness’. We believe that this is the mission of His Church. The gift of salvation promises not mere escape from suffering and judgment, but also an abundant life that leads to fruitfulness. A person who has been made whole will truly be able to love God and his or her neighbor, and will go on to make healthy disciples who will do the same.

OUR VISION

To know and exalt Jesus Christ &

To complete His Great Commission

We acknowledge Christ as our Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King. Out of knowing and exalting Jesus flows an impulse to take His good news of salvation to the whole world. God has called every believer to communicate the “good news” to as many as possible.

Lost people matter to God; therefore, lost people must be important to us. This mission is non-negotiable for any Christian or group of Christians. This leads to the completion of His Commission. (Matthew 28:18–20)

WHAT MATTERS TO US

Our highest and utmost calling is to love God. God, who is holy, calls us to be holy people. He has also given us everything we need to attain holiness in this life. We uphold the transforming power of God’s Word and the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit as two primary means of living a holy life unto God. Our daily life and ministries are deeply anchored in obeying what the Bible teaches. We seek to be filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit in order to be separated from sin and fully dedicated to the will of God for a fruitful and abundant life.

HOLINESS

Through God's Word & Spirit

Jesus proved His selfless love for us by laying down His own life. He called us to do the same for one another. We are a community of broken and sinful people, redeemed by Jesus Christ, living to demonstrate this selfless love in a world that is full of hurts and loneliness. We are devoted to caring for one another through small groups and fellowship that extend beyond our Sunday worship experience. We are also committed to loving our next generation by training and equipping them to be Christ-followers.

SELFLESSNESS

In loving one another

We are dedicated to taking the good news of Jesus Christ to our neighborhoods and to the world. We believe that the best way to accomplish this mission is through planting churches. Our vision is to develop vibrant communities of faith in many neighborhoods that will love and serve the city that we live in. We are also fully engaged in sending and supporting people who will take the story of our salvation to the nations that have yet to come to know our Savior.

GENEROSITY

Towards our neighbors
White Background

IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS

The cross reminds us of His sacrificial death and Resurrection as the Atonement for the sins of humankind (Acts 4:12)

Our SAVIOR

The pitcher represents oil to anoint the sick for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing that comes through obedience to God's Word: "And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:15)

Our HEALER

The laver represents the daily cleansing from sin by the power of the Holy Spirit. “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness” (2 Pet. 1:3)

Our SANCTIFIER

The crown represents Christ’s royalty as the King of Kings. His coming will be a visible, personal appearance: “You will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven” (Mark 14:62)

Our COMING KING

San Jose Christian Alliance Church is part of the The Christian and Missionary Alliance family, otherwise known as the C&MA or The Alliance, an evangelical denomination full of believers who long to introduce the love of God to all nations.
