About Ted
Pastor Ted studied at McGill University in Canada pursuing his dream to become a doctor. During his senior year, he had an encounter with God that changed his life forever. He went onto serve with Youth With A Mission for the next 4 years traveling around the world. He received his M.Div from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. There he also met his wife Sandy and got married in January 2001. Pastor Ted and Sandy joined San Jose Christian Alliance Church in March of 2002 as missionary interns hoping to go to China after a couple years of training. But, God had a different plan for their lives, and called them to pastor the church since then. God blessed them with four lovely daughters: Abigail, Isabel, Rachel and Bethel. Pastor Ted is a passionate outdoor junkie. If you are not afraid of sleeping with bears and mountain lions, don’t hesitate to ask him to take you on one of his camping, fishing or rafting expeditions.

About Alan
Pastor Alan Lee was born in Cambodia and raised in Hong Kong. He came to the United States for college in 1985 and has been a SJCAC church member since then. He has a Bachelor of Science degree (Business Administration) from San Jose State University and a Master of Ministry degree from Simpson College. Pastor Alan worked as a CPA both in the public and private industry for over 10 years before joining the pastoral team. Pastor Alan is married to Amy and has two wonderful sons: Jaron and Austin. He served as the Worship Pastor from 2000 to 2003. He is now serving as the Cantonese Pastor.

About David
Born in Torrance, CA in 1987 and moved to the Bay Area around 1992 David Kao has been attending San Jose Christian Alliance ever since. Growing up in San Jose Christian Alliance Church, David practiced generosity, compassion, holy living, and developed theology from the Sunday School teachers as well as it’s weekly fellowship.
David Kao studied three years in DeAnza College and transferred to complete his bachelors in University of California, San Diego, graduating with an Economics Degree. In his time in San Diego, he was given the opportunity to lead a Bible study, where he began to encounter God and discovered God’s heart for the poor, lost, broken, and lonely.

Rev. Lei Hou

About Lei
HouLei was born and grew up in North-Eastern China. He received Jesus as his personal Savior at the age of 12 with his family. With his parents’ influence and support, who were ministers in China, Houlei went to study in seminary. After HouLei and his wife, Kuan were graduated in May 2005, they started to serve in their home church, Bible school and missionary organizations through teaching, pastoring, church planting and trainings. In 2016, HouLei came to the United States to finish his M. Div. from Christian Witness Theological Seminary, and was graduated in May 2018. During this time, he served as intern in SJCAC. HouLei is now serving full time as Mandarin Ministry Pastor. He and his wife, Kuan, have a son, Andrew, and a daughter, Ella.

About Derrick
Derrick Duong was born and raised in Vietnam. In 1989, he migrated to Sydney, Australia. In 1994, he moved to the States to marry Alcest, the soul mate of his youth. He ran his own business in financial services for 7 years. In 2002, he answered God’s calling to minister to Him full time in SJCAC. Ever since, he had been a faithful intercessor and prayer minister. He completed his advanced diploma in Biblical Studies at Biblical Life College & Seminary. His passion is to raise up prophetic prayer ministers and faithful intercessors to speak of God’s glory and wonders, and to proclaim His excellencies, preparing the way for the return of the Lord Jesus.
