Exactly 34 years ago, my mom got baptized here and became a member of SJCAC. As a fourteen year old, I am here today following in her same footsteps. As Psalm 78:6 says, ”So the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children.” Like a lot of people, I accepted Christ at VBS multiple times when I was young but never really understood the meaning of dedicating one’s life to follow Christ. I was born into a Christian family, so I was surrounded by faith in God modeled for me by those around me at SJCAC and New Vine. 我滿懷期待的參加了冬季退修會。在當時，我並不確定我想要得到什麼；我隻知道，我確實得到了我想要的東西。星期天晚上，我們在敬拜的時候，聖靈就降臨在我們身上。我甚至不知道該如何描述我當時的感受，我無法停止哭泣；僅僅是回想起當時的情景都會讓我流淚。那個時候，我知道自己永遠不想離開，我永遠不想回到以前的樣子。當我跪在地上哭泣時，我記得自己在問：“為什麼不能總是這樣？”以及“為什麼我不能每天都像這樣經歷上帝？” 我意識到我們如此強烈地感受到上帝的部分，原因是因為我們在太浩湖將我們的時間奉獻給了上帝。我們特別將這段時間分別出來，以便與上帝更加親近並在屬靈上成長，如果僅僅三天時間奉獻給耶穌，就讓我們如此強烈地感受到神，如果我們將一生獻給祂，上帝會要在我們身上行什麼樣的旨意？從我們所學習的課程中，我們知道如果我們想要跟隨耶穌，我們必須做出犧牲。我感覺上帝真的在告訴我要為他活出我的生命，把祂放在一切之上，並且丟棄我生命中的某些事情，單純的服從祂。 Read more →

I am learning about what it looks like to trust God and what it feels like to put my trust completely in Him.

Learning to be present in the experiences and to feel the emotions. Being there to experience heartache and brokenness and seeing that the world cannot fix me. Being of the world will not fix me or bring me anywhere close to wholeness.

I am learning how much I need God and how good that is. I am learning how good our God is and how much He can pull you through. I am learning to trust and surrender, knowing that it will all be okay. Read more →
