Are you all ready for Thanksgiving break?! As we prepare ourselves and our hearts for Thanksgiving next week, I hope you have thought through the year 2019 and discovered a handful of things that you might be thankful for.
This week in our daily Time with Abba, God revealed to me the words “restore” and “patience”. We look to God when we have a loss, or in our poor state, but when do we stop believing or trusting in God? In the James passage, we are encouraged to not fear pain or suffering but to be patient for the Lord is coming back soon. In the time being, let us pray for each other and with each other; for full healing, for restoration, for the kingdom of God to spread across our communities until the return of Jesus.
The Kingdom of God is here and active, but many people (even ourselves) forget or don’t know this truth. That is why we need to pray for one another and with one another, to restore this truth to those who’ve forgotten or don’t know. Our Church has an opportunity to do this every week among ourselves, but this weekend we have a wonderful opportunity to serve at Convoy of Hope to pray and encourage those in San Jose without hope to know and discover Jesus. If you would like to join this effort please sign up HERE.
– What does God want to restore in your life today?
– Who are some people around you who will help you wait for your restoration?
– How can you be intentional with the needs around you to remain in prayer and not forget?
