Youth News: Mar. 21, 2019Thursday March 21st, 2019
Hello Youth Family!
Today, in our Time with Abba reading, we see the Israelites, who were about to cross the Jordan, take their promised land. In order to retrieve the promised land, they still had to fight for it.
The Reubenites and Gadites, two tribes of Israelites, were tired and did not want to fight anymore. These two tribes did not trust God for three reasons:
#1 They didn’t want to go to war
#2 They were comfortable where they were
#3 They forgot that God is faithful
I believe God has a promise for each of us every day but oftentimes we do not take hold of this promise because of our fear of conflict, our desire for peace and comfort, or we have just forgotten that God does have something planned for us. Youth family, I want to encourage you to trust in God’s faithfulness today and take hold of the promise God has in store for you each day!
- What is God’s promise for you?
- What will it mean for you to reach this promise?
- Remove the fears, the lackluster comfort, or forgetfulness from your mind and put your mind on Christ.
- Take a moment to meditate on God’s faithful character in your life.

A great way for parents to be involved and support the Youth Ministry is through helping with bringing snacks for our hungry/growing kids. Sign up for a slot (or two) and get to know some of our teens on the hospitality team as they serve their brothers and sisters in Christ!
