Hi Youth,

As we look and reflect back at this past month, let us continue to seek the Holy Spirit and all He is doing around us, through us, and in others.

Proverbs 10:19 says this, 
“Sin is not ended by multiplying words, but the prudent hold their tongues.” (NIV)

It is a simple truth and wisdom that is often overlooked in practice. Society in schools, families, and friend groups have set up a culture where it is okay to speak on our own feelings. Now don’t get me wrong in understanding that we should close up to people… That can bring a negative effect. But at the same time, we must speak of things that point people to Christ. We have to understand whether or not our opening words will cultivate hurt or healing. If our words are hurting others, let us ask the Holy Spirit to help us refrain from causing gossips or hurt. Let us practice in speaking things of His Spirit and not of ourselves. Anything that is hindering our walk with Christ needs to be handed over to our Heavenly Father. In doing so our minds can be renewed in the way we think and say each and every day.
