As many Schools have ended, parents and students are scrambling to figure out how to fill their days throughout the summer. In today’s Time with Abba reading, the New Testament shared a story of when the Christians were afraid and scattered because of the persecution of the time. Although they were scattered they were able to preach the word and testify the name of Jesus wherever they went, and out of this devotion great joy came to the City.

Right now because of COVID or because of the protests going on throughout our nation, we might be feeling scattered, confused, we might feel lost or pressured. Youth Family, I want to encourage you all to continue to live out the Gospel of Jesus wherever you go, in whatever you do so that great joy may come to our homes, neighborhoods and cities as well. Throughout the summer we will continue to have these conversations about Racism, Prejudice, Fear and Authority and we will work together to navigate through these discussions and thrive in the midst of hard times.
