Dear Youth Family,
If someone were to ask you, “Where do you get your hope?” how would you have responded to that individual question? Is hope something you can actually grasp onto? Or is it more of a fantasy such as a disney happily ever ever feeling? Hope is the feelings and desire for a specific outcome to happen, but put into layman’s terms, hope is a feeling of trust.
In the Bible we are given relevant and real hope through the being of Jesus. In those moments of uncertainty, we are reminded to trust in Jesus. From that trust will a real relationship will the Holy Spirit take place and transform our inner being. Hope in Jesus will cause others to notice and in that moment of hope, how would you respond in sharing where your hope resonates from?
In 1 Peter 3:15 we read this,
15 Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. (NLT)
Peter, one of the disciples of Paul wrote here how we need to be ready to articulate our hope to those around us. Whether believers or not, are you able to explain the hope you have in Jesus?
As a family, during dinner or your family time, come together and create an explanation of where your family’s hope comes from. That way, when someone asks about your hope, you will be ready to explain.

Sam’s Club

What do we do every time we fail? Well, there are a few options: lie, blame, or take responsibility. As young men of God, we should not lie or blame others, so the only option left is taking responsibility. But why should we be accountable for our mistakes?

In next week’s Sam’s Club, we will be exploring personal responsibility and how to take control of our lives. Each session is from 3-4pm on Wednesdays.
