Hello Youth Family!
Do you know that God is always on the move? I really appreciate our church reminding us that the biggest stories in the Bible are stories of when people thought that God wasn’t there, or wasn’t listening. BUT as we learn from hindsight, God is always right there. In today’s Time with Abba reading we see the Psalm passage representing a time when the writer doesn’t see God at all and is questioning “Is God worth it?”.
Sometimes I am really confident when someone is not around: I can say “I can beat LeBron James or Jeremy Lin in Basketball” or I can say “I can sing better than Billie Eilish”, but if either of them come into the room, I’m pretty sure I’d shut up. In a similar way, although God sees our pain and frustration God allows us to be honest with our words and be authentic and real with the current situation. When we become authentic and real with our heart I believe God reveals that He is indeed faithful and listening.
In today’s Time with Abba I would like to invite families to come together to Read the Psalm today and answer the Questions below:
Define: What is the Honest Truth?
How would you go about being honest with God?
How would you go about being Honest with one another?

Sam’s Club

Starting next Wednesday, our college student Daniel Chun is leading a group called Sam’s Club. The name derives from 1 Samuel 3:1-10 and Luke 10:25-37 (The Good Samaritan). In this group Daniel will lead our young men in the discussion of what it means to listen and to do what is right. This is only for the guys so sorry ladies. Our first topic is, “What is a man?”
