Hi Youth Family,
Wasn’t the Youth Lock-In awesome?! Thank you all for making this Youth Lock-in an unforgettable experience. If you want to see more of our Youth family, join us these next few weeks as we kick off our Care Groups! These Care groups are to ensure that all that join us will have a place to belong within our community.

This weekend is the last opportunity to join our Youth Winter Retreat, so if you have not yet done so, please sign up online and turn in your forms to our Church office as soon as possible.

Today, in our Time with Abba reading, I sensed that God is asking our community “What is your focus?” In the Old Testament, Israel is giving his final blessings to his sons before he dies and, in the New Testament Jesus is feeding Four Thousand people (not including women and children) with just some bread and few small fish. But God revealed that He isn’t with us to show miracles or just give blessings, that is the prosperity gospel. I believe God is refocusing us back to his heart and in His Word, we may know who he has called us to become.  The reading today is an invitation for us as a community to refocus on Him and draw closer to Him.

  1. Dig into His Word
  2. Pray for deeper work of the Holy Spirit (no more surface level gospel)
  3. Pray for the Youth Winter Retreat “Conquering Giants”

February 15-18, 2019

We have close to 100 students already signed up!
Registration is now $295 (check/cash) NEW! Payment via PayPal link on youth webpage is $305 (includes $10 convenience fee)

  3. Turn in your Registration Fee with Waiver to Pastor David, Sam or Audrey. (Fee: $295 per person, check/cash or $305 via PayPal.)

NEW for this winter retreat, Pastor Elliott is gathering the intercessors who will fast and pray for spiritual breakthrough for the youth throughout the duration of the retreat. Intercession team will have a modified schedule, (fasting and praying before the retreat, waking up earlier than others, intercession during free time,) If you’re not serving in any other capacity for the retreat, and would like to join, sign up here:

Church Volleyball League

The Church Volleyball League season will start on Feb 17 instead of Feb 10 due to scheduling conflicts at the Santa Clara High School gym. Since a lot of youth are planning on going to the Winter Retreat that weekend, the Youth team will play an extra, make up game on Feb 24. We hope to have four teams playing: 2 in the Intermediate Middle and 2 in the Intermediate Lower divisions. Sign up deadline is Feb 14.
