Youth News: Jan. 16, 2020
Thursday July 2nd, 2020Hello Youth Family!
We are hitting a high season in the Youth Ministry starting this weekend! We have Lock-in, Winter Retreat, meetings, multiple trainings, and also Baptism Classes in March! There will also be multiple celebrations coming up such as Chinese New Year.
This morning in our Time with Abba, Jesus reminds us that in our burdens and heaviness we can find rest in God. In our overwhelmed state, we can learn from God. God’s burden is easy and light.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matt 11:28-30)
Take this opportunity and read this passage a few times over:
What is tiring you, making you weary? What are those items burdening your thoughts?
Take a moment to listen to God this morning. Are his words gentle to you?
I bless you SJCAC Youth family to find your rest in God and the revelation of the hidden things to be revealed in Jesus.
Blessings,
Pastor David

**Cell Phone Policy for Lock-In

If a student brings a phone, we will have a check in station to store phones until the time for parent pick up. If a student is observed using a phone at the Lock-In, we will ask the student to turn in the phone. If the issue becomes persistent and the student refuses to cooperate, we will ask parents to come and pick up the student regardless of the time of the incident. If you have any questions, please come talk to Pastor David or Sam. Thank you for your understanding and support on this matter.
