Youth News: Feb. 14, 2019
Thursday February 14th, 2019Hi Youth Family,
Tomorrow is the Youth Winter Retreat!! I hope you’re as pumped as I am. Please pray for clear roads tomorrow.
Today in our Time with Abba passage, Jesus rises from the grave! That’s incredibly exciting, but what stood out for me through this reading was Jesus and the angel, stood before these women and said to them: “Do not be afraid“, and go and tell the disciples! I think these are the charges towards us, SJCAC Youth Family, as we begin to travel up the mountain.
- Don’t be afraid, leave your fear at the door and come meet with Jesus AND
- Go and tell, just like these women we don’t need to create an elaborate story, but we are going to know how to speak and share our stories!
Blessings,
David

2019 Winter Retreat IMPORTANT INFO
Praise the Lord, despite the snow according to CalTrans road updates, the roads have remained open for travel as long as the vehicles have chains. The charter buses we will be using this year are equipped with chains and the drivers are trained and comfortable in driving in the snow. The buses are scheduled to depart from SJCAC Campus at 5:30PM to Lake Tahoe. But in the case of strong wind or severe weather conditions, we will delay our departure time until it is safe for us to drive. Therefore, we ask all SJCAC Youth families to bring a sleeping bag to SJCAC just in case of the weather conditions. Once we can confirm the safety of the road, we will depart for Lake Tahoe.
Blessings,
Pastor David Kao
