Youth News: Dec. 6, 2018
Thursday December 6th, 2018Hi Youth,
Have you ever wondered why it is important to love God’s Truth? In our Time With Abba (TWA) scriptures today, we read a letter written by John the apostle. 2 John 1:2-4 says this,
“2 I love you because of the truth that is alive in us. This truth will be with us forever.
3 God the Father and Jesus Christ his Son will give you grace, mercy and peace. These blessings will be with us because we love the truth.
4 It has given me great joy to find some of your children living by the truth. That’s just what the Father commanded us to do.
From this, the apostle John is writing how the truth of God is alive. Living in God’s truth must be lived out in love. The rest of the letter goes into a theme of urgency for discerning God’s Truth. We as believers must continue to be alert in discerning the truth that is from God and that of the Worlds. Ask yourself this question, “What are the many teachings that I hold on?” Make a list and distinguish which truth is from the World or that which comes from God?” Afterward, take time this week to invest in the Word of God so that you can continue to grow in discernment and love for God’s Truth.
Blessings,
Sam
