Hello Youth Family!

This week will mark the final week of Youth Ministry for this semester and I want to thank you all for faithfully coming out for fellowship, worship, play games and to be in the word of God. I’m also excited about the new things God is preparing us for in the New Year 2020 like Youth Lock-In, Winter Retreat and more! Let’s end our 2019 well and start 2020 better!

This morning in our Time with Abba I was deeply encouraged that God is the rebuilder of his people. In the Old Testament, God speaks to Amos saying he will uproot and punish Israel for the sin of the past, BUT the story continues to say that God will also rebuild his people. I think this semester seemed relationally strained, emotionally stressful physically hurt and academically difficult for many. Sometimes we are defeated, but there is the hope of Jesus Christ who has won the victory and invites us into that life as well. Because of this promise of Jesus, we can live with the fullness of joy and not be controlled by our past.
The action items I received from God were to: Repent, Forgive, and Hope.

Please take time to:

1. Repent for the past (acknowledge our shortcomings, weakness, and failures)
2. Forgive others and forgive yourself (Remove the past and move one)
3. Hope for the Promise of the Lord to be fulfilled. (Recite or rewrite God’s word)
