I started my 3rd year of college last Fall and I’m currently working towards a degree in Education (in Learning & Behavioral Studies) and a minor in Psychology with hopes of being a teacher one day. Last summer, I had the opportunity to work at Gateway Preschool Academy. I worked in a classroom filled with a bunch of amazing 2-3 year olds for 9 weeks.
Besides gaining experience in a classroom setting, being able to practice my teacher voice, and getting a bunch of sweet hugs, God was doing a lot of work in my own life and I wanted to share a little bit about what He has been revealing to me during this season of my life. Read more

In the process of growing up, a person’s experience shapes how he/she sees the world, whether or not you are you being cared for, if you feel insecure about yourself, if there is a role model to look up to so that you are sure you are doing the right thing. When problems arise in life, you gather material to solve them and it is like building a house. The confidence of the house would be easily shaken if there is a small difference from the blueprint. If it doesn’t get dealt with, it accumulates and could lead to a total collapse. Through his Holy Spirit at Pastoral Care School (PCS), He healed bits and pieces that my house missed and made me more of a whole person. Read more

There are several staples at this church that will never change – Missions Conference, Deeper Life Conference, Great Commission Sunday… and for our Cantonese and Mandarin Congregations, the Chinese New Year (CNY) celebration. Every year, around the Martin Luther King long weekend, we step into high gear and really dig in and start prepping for the monumental day. Read more
